Stewardship letterhead 2027-header

Dear Members and Friends of St. John’s,

Every church hopes to be more than a building. By God’s grace, St. John’s is exactly that: a place to belong—a community where we worship, pray, learn, serve, laugh, celebrate, grieve, and care for one another. It is also a mission to share, reaching beyond our walls with hospitality, compassion, and faith in action.

As we begin our annual stewardship campaign, we invite you to reflect on the many ways St. John’s has been part of your life and faith. Perhaps it has been the comfort of familiar prayers, the joy of music, a conversation over coffee, the support of friends, or simply the reassurance of knowing there is a place where you belong.

Our theme this year, “A Place to Belong. A Mission to Share.” reminds us that stewardship is about both. We care for the church community that has been entrusted to us, and together we make possible the work St. John’s carries into the wider world.

The First Letter of Peter tells us, “Like good stewards of the manifold grace of God, serve one another with whatever gift each of you has received.” (1 Peter 4:10)
Those gifts take many forms. We give our time, our talents, our care, our prayers—and, yes, our financial support. A pledge card may not be quite as exciting to find in the mailbox as a birthday card, but it does help make an extraordinary number of good things possible.

Your financial pledge supports the worship, ministry, outreach, programs, and everyday work of St. John’s. It helps keep this parish a place where people can find welcome and belonging, while giving us the resources to carry out the mission we share.

Every pledge, whatever the amount, helps us plan responsibly and faithfully for the year ahead.

Thank you for your prayerful consideration, for your generosity, and for all the ways you participate in the life and mission of St. John’s. This church is what it is because so many people choose, year after year, to be part of it.

Faithfully,
The Stewardship Committee
